Ikon switches to Logikal software to achieve ambitious expansion plans

Birmingham based systems company Ikon Aluminium has confirmed its ambitious plans in the UK with a switch to the LogiKal software from Business Micros (Aluminium).

The fast growing company says it is looking to establish itself amongst the leading players in the aluminium sector, and has chosen the software which it believes is essential in order to achieve that.

Ikon’s Sales and Marketing Manager Adrian Campbell, says: “We reviewed all of the design and manufacturing software options available in the UK and judged LogiKal to be not only the most popular solution but, more importantly, also the best.

“It is accurate, efficient and very user friendly with a straightforward interface which eliminates the risk of user error.

“It is being used by some of the biggest names in the UK aluminium systems market whom we are benchmarking ourselves against, and we believe it will become an essential element in our planned expansion.”

Previously, Ikon had used its own bespoke software for design and manufacturing of its range of windows, doors, curtain walling and shop fronts but opted to switch to LogiKal in order to improve the service it provides to its customers.

Adrian Campbell adds: “Fabricators using Ikon profiles alongside other systems can now switch easily between the two using the same software, and we have the added advantage that Business Micros (Aluminium) will support us as we continue our exciting programme of new product introductions.”

Ikon’s in-house estimating team has already switched to LogiKal and the company is currently demonstrating the new software to its customers. Business Micros (Aluminium) is supporting Ikon in this programme and providing installation and technical support to fabricators in integrating the new software into their operations.

Business Micros (Aluminium) is the exclusive UK distributor for LogiKal and supports the system with UK based programming and technical support.
